It is headquartered in Houston, Texas although they also have an office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  They service all sizes of companies ranging from freelance or small business sites to fortune 500 companies.  Their service has expanded worldwide where the company is now in over 170 countries.   

Hostgator’s ® CEO is Brent Oxley who founded the company in 2002. Inc Magazine recognized this company as one of the fastest growing private companies in America. In addition, a recent survey in 2008 showed that over 90% of its customers are satisfied with their service.

Product Description 

Host Gator ® focuses on three main services: web hosting, reseller hosting, and dedicated servers.  Its web hosting options are currently available for linux web hosting although they are branching out into windows web hosting.  Their website alerts customers that these services will be coming soon although no definitive date is provided.  The linux web hosting options offer three pricing options with various services. Most standard features are offered although the pricing options vary on services like getting a free toll free phone number, dedicated ip, private ssl, and anonymous ftp.  Most of these services are unique compared to other web hosting options.   

The Reseller Hosting services offer a number of different options.  These different options vary in range for sections like disk space and bandwidth needed.  In fact, beyond these two factors, you get all the same services available which is quite an extensive list. 

The Dedicated Servers options are available in linux and windows servers.  Within each service, they come complete with a number of the same services and vary only in bandwidth, hard drive space, and number of ip addresses.  The available services given is quite extensive as can be evidenced by Hostgator ® offering 3 ecommerce shopping options alone.
